Sonja (Brown) Hanggi     1989
and husband, Jerry, welcomed Grayson Maxwell on June 12, 2007. Grayson joins brother, Gerry, seven, and sister, Madeline, six. Sonja is a stay at home mom and does children’s photography. Jerry is a sales representative for Sun Microsystems. They currently live in Lino Lakes, Minn.

Susan (Schlies) Obermiller    1991
and husband, Keith, had a son, Dominic, on June 27, 2008.

Jennifer (Chaplinski) Johnson     1993
and husband, Jeff, welcomed a son, Douglas Jeffrey, on June 25, 2008.

Shelly Paipal-Umland     1994
welcomed the birth of her third son, Caleb, in December 2008. He joins brothers, Daniel, five, and Andrew, two. The Umlands reside in Maplewood, Minn., where they operate a construction company.

Penny (Redalen) and Steve Peterson 1994; 1996
welcomed daughter Ayla Rose on November 23, 2009. She joins big sister, Kinsey (4), and big brothers, Caden (2) and Luke (2). The family resides in Prescott, Wis.

MaryJo (Sylwester) Webster 1994
and husband Jamey announce the birth of their twins, Benjamin and Madeline, born Dec. 31, 2008. The Websters live in Arden Hills, Minn.

Shannon (Wentlandt) Hirstein     1995
and husband, Dave (Bo), welcomed a baby boy, Jonah Wesley, born Jan. 22, 2009. He joins big brother, Jack.

Amy (Zuehlke) Paulsen     1995
and husband, Matt, welcomed their second child, a baby girl, Riley Marie, on May 3, 2008. Riley joins her three-year-old brother, Luke. They live in Oconto, Wis.

Jason and Jennifer (Everson) Ochoada 1996; 1996
welcomed a baby girl, Sarah Elizabeth, on August 14, 2009. Sarah joins her brother, Matthew, 6. They reside in Indianapolis, Ind.

Jared K. Lewis     1996
welcomed a baby girl, Madison Jean, in 2008. They reside in Peoria, Ariz.

Kara Jo (Knutson) Prestrud     1996
and husband, Wade, welcomed a daughter, Courtney Jo, on Feb. 17, 2009.  She joins siblings, Abby, eight, Emily, six, and Nathan, three. They currently reside in Hudson, Wis. Kara Jo is a Birth Doula and a stay-at-home mom.

and husband, Jason, welcomed a son, Peter Nicholas, on Sept. 27, 2008. Peter joins sisters, Veronica, three, and Lucy, two.

Christopher and Jennifer (Halberg) Patton    
1997; 1996
welcomed a son, Nathan Thomas, on Feb. 16, 2008. He joins a brother, Evan Christopher, five. Christopher was appointed as special advisor to the Governor and director of the Wisconsin Office of Recovery and Reinvestment by Governor Jim Doyle in April 2009. They reside in Verona, Wis.

Nicky (Sukowatey) Thompson     1997
and husband, Rod, welcomed their third child, Megan Mary, on Dec. 20, 2008. They also have a six-year-old son, Zach, and a three-year-old daughter, Ashley.

Casandra (Schwartau) Veiseth     1997
and husband, Mike, welcomed their third daughter, Liesl Claire, on Jan. 31, 2009. Big sisters, Kjersten, nine, and Liv, five, join her at home in Zumbrota, Minn. Casandra is currently a speech-language pathologist working in the public school setting.

Erin (Graham) Nierenhausen     1998
and her husband, Wayne, welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Shawn Kathryn, on March 10, 2009. She joins her big brother, Joshua. The family lives in Menomonie, Wis.

Sarah (Abrahamzon) Vandertie     1998
and husband, Curt, welcomed a son, Landon Julian, in May, 2008. They reside in Brussels, Wis. Sarah was recently promoted to marketing manager along with her account services management position for ENCAP, LLC in Green Bay, Wis.

Lisa (Byington) Bates     1999
and husband, Michael, welcomed daughter, Delaney Marie, on Jan. 5, 2009. Delaney joins big brothers Brady, five, and Noah, three. Lisa is a strategic information analyst with Acuity Insurance in Sheboygan, Wis.

Dan and Trish (Schou) Hagstrom     1999; 2000
welcomed daughter, Kate Isabelle, on Feb. 2, 2009. She is the younger sister of Sam (Aug. 2003-Aug. 2007).

Amy (Elert) Matza     1999
and husband, Roger, welcomed a son, Alec Cooper, born March 10, 2009. He joins sister, Ava, four. They reside in Rosemount, Minn.

Amy (Zuber) Seguin     1999
and husband, Brian, welcomed Benjamin Gerald on May 11, 2008. Benjamin joins brother Sam. Amy is on sabbatical from teaching in Portage, Wis., where the family resides.

Brigit (Monson) Stevens     1999
and husband, Joe, welcomed a baby boy, Timber Patrick, on April 13, 2009, after relocating to Henderson, Minn., in late February. She started serving as pastor at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Henderson on March 1, 2009.

welcomed a daughter, Clara Rose, born Aug. 22, 2008. She joins big brother, Andrew, three. They reside in Rose Creek, Minn.

and husband, Brian, welcomed their third daughter, Lydia Marie, on April 28, 2008. She joins big sisters Ruth and Nora. They reside in Frankfort, Ohio.

Chad and Melissa (Gilles) Crowley     2000; 2002
welcomed the birth of their third child, Erin Renae, on June 3, 2008. She joins brother, Dylan, five, and sister, Jessica, two.

Teresa (Baumann) Dvorak     2000
and husband, Weston, welcomed twin daughters, Audrey Ann and Tessa Jane, on July 11, 2008.

Julie Larson 2000
and husband Jason welcomed a new baby boy, Zachary Jason, who was born April 3, 2009. He is welcomed by big sister Abigail, 3.

Christopher and Tracy (Passehl) Freund     2000; 2002
welcomed their first child, Kayla Jean, on Dec. 26, 2008. Christopher received his master plumber license and currently works at PGA, Inc., in Weston, Wis. They reside in Marathon, Wis.

Shelley (Carrier) Guptil     2000
and MacKenzie welcomed a daughter, MacKenna Lynn, on Dec. 27, 2007. Shelley is a fifth grade teacher in Forest Lake, Minn. She just received her master’s degree from Saint Mary’s University. MacKenzie practices law and shares a private practice in Pine City, Minn. He is also a part-time public defender.

welcomed a son, Isaac Levi, on Aug. 27, 2008. Isaac joins big sister, Olivia.

and husband, Jason, welcomed a baby boy, Zachary, on April 3, 2009. He joins big sister, Abigail.

Dan and Jen (Freeman) Marzu     2000; 2002
welcomed their first son, Michael “Mick,” on July 26, 2008. Dan works as an agronomy salesman for Maplehurst Farms, and Jen works as a data management associate for BASF Plant Science. They reside in Oregon, Ill.

and Larry Murphy welcomed their third child, Brody Charles, on Jan. 19, 2009. He joins brother, Ryan, seven, and sister, Kari, three. She resides and teaches in Rochester, Minn., and finished her educational specialist degree for k-12 principal in June 2009.

and husband, Scott, welcomed their daughter, Sedona Alaina, on Nov. 10, 2008.

Jason and Emily (Muellenbach) Saffert     2001; 2002
welcomed daughter, Gracyn Marie, on June 21, 2008. She joins big sister, Hailey, two. Jason has also moved over to U.S. Bank in February as a commercial lender.

and wife, Michele, welcomed the birth of a son, Alex John, on April 8, 2009. The family resides in Courtland, Minn.

and husband, Jason, welcomed the birth of a son, Maximus Anthony, on January 22, 2008. He joins big brother, Nathaniel.

and husband, Jason, welcomed their second child, Jaxon. Their first child, Jason, Jr., is 19 months old.

welcomed a baby girl, Kelsie Lynn, born Sept. 25, 2008.

and her husband, Travis, welcomed a baby boy, Britton Glenn, born on Nov. 21, 2008.

welcomed their first son, Xavier Scott Zuber, on Friday, March 13, 2009.

Jasper Jonson     2003
and wife, Nina, welcomed their first child, Zinnia Therese, on Nov. 6, 2008. Jasper is currently employed as an English teacher and upper school director at Groves Academy in St. Louis Park, Minn. They reside in Robbinsdale, Minn.

welcomed a baby boy, Nolan Steven, on Dec. 7, 2008.  

Adam and Angela (Gleason) Thoen    2003; 2004
welcomed the birth of their son, Maxwell Adam, on Jan. 1, 2009. They reside in Thorp, Wis.

and husband, Francis, welcomed their first child, Jacob Francis, on June 3, 2008. They live in Cascade, Wis.

Cindy (Dipprey) Boggess     2004
and her husband welcomed their first child, Nathan Donald, on Dec. 30, 2008. Her parents are also UWRF alums, Donald and Sheila Dipprey, class of 1977.

Jason and Molly (Dittrich) Hovell 2004; 2005
announce the birth of their son, Conner Hovell. He was born on April 13, 2009.

Eric and Molly (Garczynski) Page    2004; 2001
welcomed their first child, Savannah Marie, on July 22, 2008. After four years as a sports reporter—two at the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram and two at the Quad-City Times—Eric left the newspaper business to take a job as the Assistant Director of Web Services at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. There, he develops content for the school’s Web site and works with the office of communication and marketing, office of development, and office of admissions to reach out to prospective students and alumni on the Web. Molly is a pharmaceutical sales representative for Merck, a job she has held since August 2004.

and husband, Blaine, welcomed a baby girl, Etta Marcelle, on Dec. 30, 2008. They live in Hudson, Wis.
