Alumni Shape Future of State’s AgricultureFour UW-River Falls alumni led dialogue on the future of agriculture in Wisconsin at the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters statewide Future of Farming and Rural Life in Wisconsin conference, “Our Future, Our Heritage.” They included John Rosenow, ’72, recipient of the CAFES Distinguished Agriculturalist Award in 1988 and managing partner of Rosenholm-Wolfe Dairy; Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Rod Nilsestuen, ’70, also a recipient of the CAFES Distinguished Agriculturalist Award in 1995; Wilda Nilsestuen, ’66, FFRLW project director; and Bill Berry, ’73, FFRLW project communication specialist. Speakers at the May conference in Madison included Secretary Nilsestuen, Rosenow, Rep. Ron Kind (D-La Crosse), and Stan Gruszynski, co-chair of the FFRLW project.
