Bringing university research to the people of WisconsinThe University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus is one of seven UW-campuses that houses Cooperative Extension faculty. Campus-based Cooperative Extension faculty teach, conduct applied research, and develop practical educational programs - based on university knowledge and research - to respond to state and local needs. Cooperative Extension programs encompass these four areas: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Community, Natural Resources and Economic Development, Family Living and 4H Youth Development. UW-River Falls faculty are involved in two of those areas.

University of Wisconsin-Extension
programs in Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development
(CNRED) help Wisconsin communities deal with their own unique
challenges - resource constraints, business development, growth
management, environmental protection and the quality of life.
Backed by University of Wisconsin research, Community, Natural
Resource and Economic Development educators work with local
governments, civic organizations, businesses and community leaders to
help people identify their most critical local concerns, to set goals
and to work on solutions to problems. Natural resource and
environmental educators work with teachers and students, environmental
and conservation groups and businesses that rely on the state's water
and land resources. UW-River Falls has one extension specialist
in the Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development program:
